    DEBATES THROUGH MACEDONIA

    According to the implementation plan of the campaign for education of Roma “The key is in our hands” during November and December we realized debates through 11 cities in Macedonia. The main discussion on the debates was about the current directions in education of roma. From all of the 11 cities only the debate in Tetovo was postponed from objective reasons. Keep reading…


  • Vaska Bajramovska Mustafa comes from a poor family.     PROPOSAL CONCLUSIONS

     

     

    • The participants in the working session are asking complete implementation of the National Strategy of Education of Roma in Macedonia.
    • The participants are insisting the state institutions to provide instruments for strengthening of the educational process of the Roma, especially for more bigger coverage of the students.     “Football for equality”

    This year on behalf of the 11th “Week Against Racism” (14-26th October 2010) the National Roma Centrum in cooperation on Saturday, 23.10.2010, organized sports performances at the main city square in Skopje. NGO Ambrela from Skopje also joined this event. Participants on the event were young people from Kumanovo and Skopje from various ethnic backgrounds. They were pupils and students from the primary and high schools in Kumanovo and Skopje.     UNITED for Intercultural Action is an European network against nationalism, racism and fascism. More than 550 organizations from 46 European countries are working on campaigns across Europe. Since the early 90ties, the UNITEDnetwork organizes and inspires antiracist activities related to November 9th. The message is that on that day to unite forces and to build a movement that will tackle fascism in all its forms. Anti-fascist, anti-racist, Jewish and Roma organizations mark the so called „Cristal night“ (Kristalnacht), that took place on November 9th 1938, and it also symbolizes the beginning of the Holocaust. The commemoration does not only refer to remembering the victims, but this is also a campaign against the growth of neo-Nazism and racism that appears today in Europeand provides support to victims of racist and fascist attacks.
