  • German Roma in a legal dispute with the creator of Borat

    The European Center for Research of Antigypsism on the 16th October went up against Sacha Baron Cohen, more known as Ali G or Borat, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment Germany GmbH as well as Webspaceprovider, Schlund+Partner AG, with an accusation which is being led by the Hamburg Public Prosecutor. The legal service of the European Roma and Travelers Forum in Strasbourg, Roma and Sinti Union – Hamburg and the Еuropean Center for research of Antigypsism prepared proposal for temporary regulation against the film.

    The prosecutors in Hamburg will investigate the accusations before they decide if they should take any action.

    nd, said the creator of the comical character Ali G, who plays Borat Sagdijev, a made up journalist for the Kazakhstan television who goes to the United States to make a coverage about the American way of life.

    The comical situation in the film mention Roma, Jews and many other groups.
